Cravinhos (SP), January 2016 - Animal Pharm announces the winners of the Animal Pharm Awards 2015 which elects Ourofino Saúde Animal the best company in Latin and South America in the category of Best Company - Latin & South America among the industries belonging to the veterinary sector. The result per vote took into account such aspects as innovation, development and international business strategies for animal health.
"The year of 2015 was very challenging for Ourofino Saúde Animal, being it the first since the IPO of our company and also due to the unstable political and economic scenario in Brazil. We overcame obstacles and we fulfilled our research planning, our goals of product launching, and also the internationalization of the company through the intensification of our participation in Mexico and by having our own team in Colombia. In 2015, the company enhanced its presence in Mexico by investing in its own structure in that country, which is the second largest animal health market in Latin America, and closed the year with 15 professionals in sales - against four people in the team in 2014 - in addition to 30 distributors strategically located across the country.
The strategy of the company for Latin America last year also included the establishment of its own structure in Colombia through the acquisition of a distributor, which happened in September, and the hiring of qualified local professionals to work with the business profile of the company. A total of 14 people are engaged with the sales of solutions and technical services that contribute to the development of the Colombian agribusiness.
In spite of the unstable political and economic scenarios in Brazil; its increasing inflation and devalued local currency, Ourofino Saúde Animal keeps growing. In the third quarter closing of 2015, which ended on September 30, the company grew 58.3% in net income, which means R$ 19 million compared with the same period last year. On a consolidated basis (nine months of the year), the company recorded a net profit of R $ 45.4 million, a 33.9% growth when compared with the same period of 2014. The result of the last quarter of 2015 has not been published yet.
The company ended 2015 with an increase in its portfolio of nine launches distributed among the lines for cattle, poultry, swine and pets.
